I was working in Makati when I the late President Cory Aquino died of colon cancer in August 1 2009. I was fortunate to hear that Cory Aquino’s Cortege will pass by Ayala and Gil Puyat Avenue going to the Manila Cathedral. She has been a symbol of peace and freedom for the Filipino people and remembered for the peaceful revolution on EDSA February 1986.

I positioned my self at the wider Ayala Avenue, the streets were filled with people awaiting the incoming procession. Confetti filled the sky and flags of images of her husband Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino and hers fly through the sky. It was a grand display of affection from the people.

What: Develop a website for Yellow Pomelo’s client, J. Lapid’s Chicharon to know more about the company, their business philosophy, products, branches and contact information. I didn’t know if the website went live since Yellow Pomelo is the our client and Lapid’s was theirs. So there.

My shoes “collection” all shot with the Panasonic Lumix LX3 using the light painting technique I learned from John Chua…did some minor Photoshop tweaks like adjusting levels, contrast, sharpen and added vignettes.

You’ll see that I don’t clean/wash my shoes…I want them to have personal character (not that i’m dirty) on how much I use them…And washing your shoes will just loosen and damage the glue and rubber contact…lalong masisira ;-)

What: Develop a Flash-based website for Yngen Holdings Incorporated to know more about their company, its affiliates and contact information. A friend of mine did the look-and-feel of the site while I did the Flash development. The client wants animation for their website but html5 wasn’t big (or not yet used) around 2009.

This is my first photo album I uploaded using the Panasonic Lumix LX3…very capable camera with a fast (2.0) Leica lens.

Shots are from the 2008 Charter Change Rally in Ayala Avenue, Makati City. All shots are handheld (some even over the head) without using any tripod. Not bragging about the shots but the camera’s ability to shoot at night without using the camera’s flash.

We went to this restaurant before and became a fan of their Pepperoni Pizza and Pasta Marinara…cheap food and great ambiance, US-sized food serving. Ironically we just don’t like their Gumbo and Jambalaya.

I’m using a Canon 300d dslr with a 50mm 1.8 prime lens…Vivitar flash.

A poem I wrote to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion. In the scriptures Jesus received the most opposition from the most religious people of his day. At it’s core Jesus’ gospel and the good news of the Cross is in pure opposition to self-righteousness/self-justification. Religion is man centered, Jesus is God-centered. This poem highlights my journey to discover this truth. Religion either ends in pride or despair. Pride because you make a list and can do it and act better than everyone, or despair because you can’t do your own list of rules and feel “not good enough” for God. With Jesus though you have humble confident joy because He represents you, you don’t represent yourself and His sacrifice is perfect putting us in perfect standing with God!

Yup you read it right, Halloween 2008, i’m just deleting some images from my Facebook to this website for some reason. Anyway, me and my wife (when we’re still not married) together with her friends love to go to clubs around Manila. Warehouse 135 offers genuine house music, any type of house music, they even have a Sunday afternoon gig every first (or last) Sunday of the month featuring Gospel House with Christian DJ Benjie Lopez. I love it when Toti D’s Groovenation spins unadulterated House music (no progressive house or trance, just the classic 4/4 house). Well unfortunately Manila loves pop and hiphop and you might know what happened next. Here are some of my wife’s Canon Ixus 70 shots from our Black Holloween Party last 2008 at Warehouse 135 with  our friends.
